Wheeling out the emergency ballad

  • September 25, 2007
  • Popjustice

Remember how Nicole Scherzinger was going solo because she was so big and popular and talented that she didn't need any of the old bags from Pussycat Dolls hanging around stopping her being the most famous woman in the world who could get her leg behind her head and a fist in her mouth with one swift movement?

Well, it's all gone a bit tits up.

Her first single 'Whatever You Like' tanked in America. We know their charts are a bit different to ours but a Number 104 record isn't a success whichever way you look at it, so she's decided the time is right to roll out a ballad and it's a real crock of old shit. If she had any sense she'd be releasing 'Super Villain' as soon as was humanly possible but, then again, what do we know.

Here is the video for 'Baby Love' (which will be her debut single in the UK). Please try to stay awake.

It's good to see that the spirit of 'Mi Chico Latino' lives on.
