We've mentioned it before, but The Whip are amazing

We have no idea what is happening with this record. First we knew it was due to have some vocals added, then it wasn't. Then it was going to be a single and then it was on an amazing Kitsune compilation. Now there is a video for it.

Here is 'Divebomb' by The Whip.

The are numerous things about The Whip which we could label Extremely Good, but what is most important is that they are a proper 'band' yet they make music that sounds like this. Anyone who has ever bought a record by The View or The Twang should feel thoroughly short-changed.

They do not make music that sounds like this all of the time, however (are you still reading, Viewtwang Fans?), and the rest of their stuff sounds nothing like 'Divebomb'. By and large they are a new rave New Order, and if you haven't been to The Whip's MySpace page before, it is probably about time you did.

Anyway — 'Divebomb'. A song which brings everything Justice, Simian Mobile Disco and Digitalism have already done in 2007 down a peg or two. Several pegs, in fact. So many pegs that everything has been blown off the washing line of pop into a big filthy puddle.
