Putting the 'app' in 'Capital' (except there isn't an 'app' in 'Capital')

London station Capital 95.8 have launched a free (free!) iPhone applic­a­tion (you can get it here) and it's amazing.

You can listen to the station through your phone it tells you what's playing, you can look at webcams of different areas of London, you can see what's happening on the tube and you can listen to other London stations like 'the thinking man's Radio 4', LBC. Apprently they're soon going to activate a button which you can tap during adverts, so if you need to write down a phone number and don't have a pen you can press 'tag' and it will make a note of it, or something. That bit doesn't sound like it'll be much cop but the rest of the app is great and it does feel a bit like having — hey — 'London in your pocket'.

FYI we took the 'now playing' grab, above, at 11.34. It's now 12.34, and…

…Capital are literally playing Take That once an hour. 'Rule The World' at 1.34, we reckon…
