One song is guaranteed a spot at the Twenty Quid judging night — vote now!

Today we announced the shortlist for the 2016 Popjustice Twenty Quid Music Prize.

The Mercury Music Prize, in an attempt to be relevant ('LOL') and create a variety of new PR-able moments in the run-up to prize night, have changed their voting process this year and so, therefore, must we.

How it's going to work

  • You — the public! — can vote for one single which will definitely be in the final on September 15
  • The judges will choose another five
  • Six songs will go head to head on judging night.
  • (Yes this really is how the Mercury people are doing it this year — fucking hell.)

Here's what you can do now

Fill in this form. Submit it. Take the rest of the day off.

Please note that the form must be completed in full and any obvious attempts to rig the vote will be disqualified so at least try to be clever about it.
