Janet Jackson's comeback isn't quite so rubbish after all

  • September 14, 2006
  • Popjustice

Janet Jackson's new video (ie not the one for 'Call On Me', but the one for her next single 'So Excited') has premiered in the States. It is quite good and it features some rapping.

You can watch it in the box on the right hand side here.

For those of you without YouTubular access:

  • Janet does some 'chair dancing' like in that Britney

    video.

  • Janet does some underground nitespot dancing like in that Nelly Furtado video.
  • Janet's clothes fall off and then on again like in the Superbowl video.
  • Janet has sex in a toilet

like in literally every video we can think of with the exception of The Feeling's 'Never Be Lonely'.

  • There is a completely gratuitous CGI yellow 'sports car', which isn't like any videos we can think of and the reason for this is that it is duff-o-rama.

The whole thing is not amazing but it is, as we mentioned above, 'quite good'.
