Blue coming back is actually quite a good thing (potentially)

A few summers ago, when Blue were at the height of their success (well, just before they released 'Guilty'), we spent an extremely large amount of time with the band.

It was for an official on-the-road book* and the time we spent with them reminded us how important it is to constantly question the way people are presented in the media. Lee, who we grew to really like, was perhaps the biggest revelation and while Duncan seemed like a bit of a dick at times even he was surprisingly sharp and easy to chat with. The points when Blue were off duty — and itseemed that they often felt it was their 'duty' to moon out of windows etc — were really interesting.

Anyway we have been thinking about Blue in light of the news that they're backbackback for Capital's Definitely Not Party In The Park event this summer and have come to the conclusion that Blue being back is a good thing. They can do a tour with JLS and it'll be brilliant.

Let's just look at some of Blue's hits.

1. All Rise
2. Fly By II
3. If You Come Back
4. One Love
5. Too Close
6. Breathe Easy

'And many others'. ALL those songs are amazing. Particularly 'If You Come Back'.

Literally incredible. Blue could just come on stage at Definitely Not Party In The Park, sing 'If You Come Back' three times, go off, come back on again, sing 'If You Come Back' for encore then leave in a helicopter and nobody would have any grounds whatsoever for complaint.

* It's hardly the worst thing we've ever been involved with but in the end it was all dicked about with quite a lot and we took our name off it in precisely the sort of melodramatic strop that means we don't get asked to write books or indeed very much any more.
