24 miniature bits to save the world

  • April 7, 2008

It's the new Madonna 'n' Justin video! But what's it all about?

BEHOLD:

FOUR MINUTES AND COUNTING
Timbaland stands in front of an alarm clock and talks a bit.
RIPPLES IN WATER
Fans of Jurassic Park will know this means only one thing: there's a dinosaur coming.
'EAU FATHER'
That beaker of water is going to fall off there and create a right old mess if they're not careful.
MADONNA: TRAPPED IN A CROSSWORD
Nice arse.
JUSTIN: ALSO TRAPPED IN A CROSSWORD
Nice arse.
"FOUR MINUTES"
Timbaland can count to four.
"FOUR MINUTES"
Timbaland sometimes gets it wrong.
"ARE YOU SURE IT'S IN NEUTRAL?"
Madonna struggles to push a car. Why is she pushing a car? Nobody knows.
"WOULD ANYBODY LIKE SOME CRUDITIES?"
Madge waves her flaps around in a restaurant.
TIME FOR SOME SPECIAL EFFECTS
Here you can see a mysterious black 'mass' chasing Madonna. As the video progresses we are led to assume that this black mass which chases Madonna around is something along the lines of 'environmental catastrophe' or 'time itself'.
'JUSTIFY MY SCARF'
Justin does up his scarf in the mirror. It's cold!
KIT OFF AHOY
Madonna takes her top off in a couple's apartment. It's hot! (This is all obviously a serious 'n' political message regarding global warming and how it is hot and cold at the same time and boo-hoo-hoo the icebergs are all melting etc.) (Or something.)
"KISS ME LIKE YOU'VE NEVER KISSED ME BEFORE"
During the video things keep dissolving so you can see what's inside them. In this sequence, a young couple are having a bit of a kiss and a cuddle when their faces start to sort of fall off. WORST PORN EVER.
SHIP AHOY!
Justin spies something on the horizon. No doubt global warming etc.
I'M THINKING ABOUT MADONNABELL
Nice of Jack and Meg to turn up.
STEAMY WINDOWS, COMING FROM THE BODY HEAT
Madonna attempts to molest Justin in the back of the a car.
GET DOWN BONNET
Madonna starts jumping around on parked cars.
A HELPING HAND
Justin helps Madonna onto the roof of the car — this is to help escape the scary special effect looming in the background.
'AISLE REMEMBER' (THEME FROM 'WITH HONOURS')
Madonna is now in a supermarket.
'LIDL STAR'
Madonna and Justin jump onto a supermarket checkout and use it like a treadmill. Justin was last seen dancing on a conveyor belt on *NSYNC's Pop Odyssey tour. He is older now, and wiser. Well he's older.
TIME FOR A TINKLE
Madonna has a look inside the ladies' loos. She is no doubt looking at the soap dispenser and, with her sensitive skin and her preferred soap in mind, is wondering if it is a substitute for Dove.
SPOOKY
Madonna looks in the mirror and turns into Justin Timberlake but at the same time continues to be Madonna. We do not know what this means. Probably something about the ozone layer.
"OOH ME BACK ETC"
Madonna falls over and pretends she has done it on purpose as part of a 'dance move'. To be fair, we've all done it.
"I'VE GOT TO ADMIT IT STINGS A LITTLE BIT"
The black special effect catches up with Justin and takes a bite out of him, or something. It's very sad.

The moral: time catches up with all of us, don't leave your light on when you're not using it, don't drive to the shops when you can stagger there and back in the rain. Do jump about on cars. The end.
