The creator of The Voice has three new shows 'in the pipeline'

  • March 30, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

The creator of The Voice has threatened to unleash three new music shows following the global success of the 'real music' 'vehicle'.

President of Talpa Music Tony Berk told Music Week that as well as The Winner Is — a weekly show in which prospective singers compete to win money — parent company, Talpa, also has "at least another two" music shows up its sleeve.

Berk also revealed that contestants on The Voice will be performing their own compositions during the semi-finals and that he expected the show to build on its promising opening ratings last week.

"ITV has fought against us by programming Britain's Got Talent against The Voice. We survived that and did better than expected", he said. "Now we expect to add viewers to our ratings."
