Alex Winston has announced the release of her debut album

  • December 6, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Alex Winston
Alex Winston — whose work you may know from this television advert — has announced she'll release her debut album 'King Con' on 5 March 2012.

The 11-track album features songs about Amish adolescence ('Run Rumspringa'), polygamy ('Sister Wife'), healing evangelists ('Benny') and Elvis impersonators ('Velvet Elvis').

Winston has employed the production talents of Charlie Hugall (of Florence's 'You've Got The Love' fame), Lykke Li producer Bjorn Yttling (of Peter, Bjorn and John) and The Knocks.

The full 'King Con' tracklist is as follows:

1. Fire Ant, 2. Velvet Elvis, 3. Medicine, 4. Locomotive, 5. Host, 6. Sister Wife, 7. Choice Notes, 8. Shock Me, 9. Benny, 10. Run Rumspringa, 11. The Fold

And if want to have a listen to Alex's 'Everlasting Love' cover, then want no more.
