Dolly Rockers, Fred Falke, Hurts 'et al' — what's happening on the Popjustice Almighty?

  • May 28, 2009
  • Popjustice

1. Dolly Rockers
Pop this studied rarely seems so effortless. 'Gold Digger' is the next single — the video's being shot in London today.

2. Fred Falke (pictured)
2009's New Falke Explosion is well underway — his Gossip remix is immense (and is today's Song Of The Day) while his mixes of Annie's 'Anthonio' and Little Boots' 'New In Town' have also done the business. Just as exciting is his work with Xenomania — the Mini Viva single is an anthem in waiting.

3. Hurts
We will do a separate thing about Hurts because they deserve their own thing. They are basically great.

4. Little Boots
She is not the next Britney (she never said she was) but her album's a unique and (despite its immediacy) surprisingly rewarding listening experience. 'Thumbs up' etc.

5. Bananarama
Some big things are on the way…

666. 'The Enemy'
They're not getting any better, we can tell you that much.
