Hurts so good

  • May 28, 2009
  • Popjustice

This is a picture of Hurts. Here is the news:

1. Hurts are a new band. They are also an old band.

2. The old band Hurts used to be is Daggers. You may remember we declared Daggers to be literally amazing on a number of occasions. Then they split up. A nation mourned. Now 'from the ashes' are Hurts.

3. The singer, Theo, is probably one of the three most amazing frontman sort of people we have met in the last five years. A natural popstar and a magnetic live performer. Basically he has the thing we all used to called 'x factor' before The X‑Factor came along.

4. On the band's MySpace you can hear some bits of music and watch a video. These are the first bits to be released and they hold clues to something VERY BIG INDEED. The three tracks there already are stylish, striking and intense pop songs with unusual depth and power.

5. Basically, keep your eye on them.

There you go.
