Private: new video, new album, both amazing

  • March 12, 2008
  • Popjustice

Private, the Danish band responsible for one of last year's best albums in the shape of 'My Secret Lover', have chucked their new video on YouTube.

In terms of staging 'We Got Some Breaking Up To Do' picks up where the clips for previous singles 'My Secret Lover' and 'Crucify My Heart' left off, and throws and brilliant 1982 spin on the whole thing.

This is the video we have been discussing in the paragraphs you have just read.

In other news, the band's 'Private Party' album — which is a sort of remix of the 'My Secret Lover' album with some other bits thrown in — can be filed under Definitely Worth A Listen.

You can listen to one of the tracks at this MySpace but the 58-minute extravaganza also makes brilliant sense as 'a body of work'.

You should know all that needs knowing about the mix album's brilliant ridiculousness from the fact that one of the songs on it is called 'Man I'm A Man Machine, Check Out My Style Cause I'm Goin' Real Wild, I'm Pluggin' In Keyboards One At The Time And Then I Gotta Song, Gotta Song In No Time'.
