Tracey Thorn is releasing a Christmas album (in October)

Story filed by Sam Hine on August 2, 2012

Tracey Thorn is releasing a Christmas album this October.

The more observant readers will notice we have placed the artwork somewhere in this post.

Anyway the album is entitled ‘Tinsel and Lights’. It’s to feature 10 songs and we imagine they will all be based on the Christmas tradition in some way.

The tracklisting is:

  • Joy
  • Hard Candy Christmas
  • Like a Snowman
  • Maybe This Christmas
  • In the Cold, Cold Night
  • Snow
  • Snow in Sun
  • Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
  • Tinsel and Lights
  • River
  • Taking Down the Tree
  • Sister Winter

“They’re not all strictly Christmas songs,” Tracey says about the album, “but if they mentioned winter or snow or even just being cold, that was good enough for me.”

And that’s good enough for us too.

‘Tinsel and Lights’ is to be released on October 30, so you have 89 days to decide whether you want to purchase it on day of release.
