The phrase 'it's a grower' has lost all and any meaning in the last few years as PR hyperbole, fanboy fluff and wishful thinking have all been responsible for the term being slapped on any old shit that doesn't sound very good. In part this is due to the internet's pace and the demand for opinions formed at the speed of sound but if 'it's a grower' is due a revival let's allow 'Russian Roulette' to lead the charge - dark, spooksome and from left of field the song really does give a little bit extra with every listen. Brilliant stuff.
