Lana Del Rey – ‘Summertime Sadness’ (Monsieur Adi mix)

Released: This is just a promo thing really
Label: Polydor
More info

Do you think Lana Del Rey might be the most remix-friendly recording artiste of the current 'pop scene'?

Let's look at the facts.

1. There are lots of Lana Del Rey remixes knocking around.

2. More than 20% of them are actually really good, which is pretty impressive when you consider that in general pop remixes are usually less than 10% listenable.

Todd Terry had a bash at 'Summertime Sadness' - Lana's most Ellis-Bextoresque song - last year, around the song's international release. Sadly his mix was properly shit, but with Lana's UK tour just about on the horizon 'Monsieur Adi' has been allowed to give it a go and the results are quite noisy and therefore very amazing. 1:28 to about 1:55 is our favourite bit but you may have other ideas.

If you like what you hear, there's more along similar lines (including a good mix of Bastille's 'Pompeii') on Monsieur's SoundCloud page.
