Personnel
Syron, 19, from south London.
The dream
"Touted by ID magazine as one of 2012's coolest new female talents and recently blogged by The xx [CLANG], Syron's call is being heard."
The reality
DON'T LET THE XX CONNECTION PUT YOU OFF. Syron's first single 'Here' is one of those 'trendy banger' jobs, in that it attempts to go off at various points but remains fairly aloof, much like the people to whom this early release is mainly supposed to appeal. Basically, it's really good, but she's not exactly Pixie Lott, or if she is she's at the beginning of an extremely long-winded 'positioning' odyssey. (She also appears on the glitchy 'Spoons' alongside the not-exactly-fussy MNEK.)
The Unfair Advantage
She's managed by 3 Numbers who are part of the whole 679 Recordings 'thing'. We expect this fact will help it all make a bit more sense. They also manage producer Amir Amor so that's handy should she need someone to work on her songs.

Keeping my hair below 3 centimetres for the past year.
How good are they out of a million?
