'Call Me Maybe'

By Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly came third in Canadian Idol in 2007 and from those dizzy heights has somehow got herself to the position where she is recording this — a dementedly brilliant pop song of the variety not really made in the UK these days.

The video is one of the worst we have seen in some time. It starts badly, gets worse, then — if you stick with it — climaxes in an explosion of rampant awfulness from which you may never recover. Don't see we didn't warn you.

Thanks to Popjustice reader Ryan Hardy for the tipoff!
