Former One Direction choreographer Zayn 'zAyN' Malik has become the first UK male artist to debut at Number One in America with their first album.
Just to clarify, the hoops Zayn has jumped through in order to achieve this are:

- 'Z' in their name
- Number One
- In first week
- Debut album
'Mind Of Mine' 'shifted' 112,000 pure album sales (157,000 if you include all the song streams etc) to enter the US Billboard 200 at the top spot.
He's also become the first UK male artist to do other slight convoluted chart-based things since various moments in the past, but you can read more about all that here if you like.
