TLC will sing some old songs and some new songs at London's KOKO on May 9

  • March 20, 2017
  • Brad O'Mance

'Hat 2 da Back' hitmakers TLC will play their first ever (!) UK 'gig' at London's KOKO on May 9, it's been announced.

The 'intimate' show is in support of their kickstarter-funded new album, which is apparently out in the summer.

Tickets go on sale on March 24, which is quite literally this Friday.

In other TLC-related news, the writers behind 'No Scrubs' — aka Kevin Briggs, Kandi Burruss and Tameka Cottle — have been retroactively added to the songwriting credits for Ed Sheeran's quite popular 'Shape Of You'.

The news was first alluded to by Kandi via her Instagram account:

Congrats #edsheeran @teddysphotos for having the #1 album! & thank you for allowing @majorgirl & I to share in the success of #ShapeOfYou! #1 for 7 weeks! This is how I dance every time this song comes on. #ShapeOfYou #Blessings

Fans then had a quick look at the ASCAP credits and lo and behold the song now lists the three extra writers alongside original 'scribes' Ed, Steve Mac and John McDaid. The similarities between the two songs had been mentioned a couple of times before, ie every fucker's done an acoustic cover of the two on YouTube.

What a tune though:
