TLC raised $430,000 via their album Kickstarter campaign thing

TLC

'Gift Wrapped Kiss' hitmakers TLC's have raised $430,000 via their Kickstarter campaign to put towards recording their fifth and final album, you'll be pleased to hear.

That final amount is nearly three times the initial goal of $150,000, a total which was actually passed within the first three days.

But what did T‑Boz and Chilli have to say about it all?

This: "Thank you to everyone who has donated to our final album!! The amount doesn't matter but the fact that you donated means the world to us."

"The amount doesn't matter" is a weird thing to say when it's sort of the whole point of the exercise, but still.

Apparently the album will be executive produced by Ron Fair and will feature collaborations with Dallas Austin and Ne-Yo.
