Tinie Tempah is feeling a bit weird

  • May 17, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Tinie Tempah has told American website dose.ca that he's living “a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory type reality" since his debut album, 'Disc-Overy' became successful.

We think this means he's living his dreams and doing things he didn't think possible as opposed to hanging out with small orange men and getting high on 'special' lemonade. In fact, he goes on to say that his head is in a "a really weird place at the moment" (let's hope he doesn't mean 'the chocolate chute') as he starts to formulate song ideas for his second album, so perhaps we shouldn't jump to conclusions.

In fact, inspiration for that second album is coming from a slightly unexpected source: Adele.

“I talked to the girl and was like, ‘Listen Adele, we’re the same age, you’ve got two Grammys, your album ['21'] is No. 1 on like every single flipping iTunes chart. What the hell?' So that’s going to be — within reason — one of the focus points on my next record."

If that all sounds a little calculated, then don't worry, it's not as if he's treating the whole thing like a business exercise. “It’s all about being a global brand now. A global commodity." Hm…
