Tinashe worked with Max Martin and Dr Luke because she wanted a hit, basically

Tinashe

'Crossing The Cosmo' hitmaker Tinashe has been chatting away about working with the likes of Max Martin and Dr Luke on her new album, and basically she did it because she wanted to have a massive hit single.

Asked by Dazed if she was starstruck when meeting them, she mused: "In a way, yeah, because you know they’ve done so many amazing things."

Indeed they have.

"But I’m not easily intimidated," she added. "I’m never satisfied, even though I’m super-happy with the success I’ve had. I’m always thinking, ‘How can I take this to the next level? How can I step this up?’ With them, it was the opportunity to be like, ‘This is when I make my number one.’"

That sort of chat is good to hear from a potentially very good popstar, isn't it?

The fruits of their labour will be on her new album 'Joyride', which is out in January.
