The songs Ed Sheeran's written for One Direction's new album are both about his ex-girlfriend

  • September 24, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

The two songs Ed Sheeran's written for One Direction's new album are both about his ex-girlfriend, and one of them may well be their next single.

Chatting away to MTV about his closepals, the 'You Don't Know (For Fuck's Sake)' hitmaker explained: "The two songs that I wrote for One Direction's album are, they're the same subject matter as the last song I wrote for the last album ['Manners'] 'cause they're from the same batch of songs."

"They're both about my ex-girlfriend."

If you'd still like to know specifics, then read on.

"One of them is kind of a getting-back together song. One of them is an appreciation song," he continued. "I can't say the titles. The song that I think will be the single, one of the singles, is kind of a very sweet song."

We'll be the judge of that, Ed.

One Direction's 'Take Me Home' is out on November 12.
