The Grammy nominations were announced last night

  • December 1, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Lots of popstars may or may not win Grammys next year.

In news that will surprise absolutely nobody Adele is up for loads — six, to be precise. 'Rolling In The Deep' is nominated for Record Or The Year and Song Of The Year, and is competing against Mumford & Zzzz in both categories.

Lady Gaga and Rihanna are up for three each (well, Rihanna's up for seven really, but apparently some of these don't count because they're for club remixes or Kanye West features), while 'Firework' by Katy Perry is nominated for Record Of The Year.

Nicki Minaj is nominated for the Best New Artist award and seems like a bit of a shoo-in, but that's probably what Justin Bieber thought last year.

The biggest winner of the night had to be Randy Brecker, who was nominated for three awards including the much coveted Best Improvised Jazz Solo.
