Sam Sparro tweeted Nile Rodgers to ask him to collaborate on his album

  • February 20, 2012
  • Mikey

Sam Sparro has credited a tweet for bringing about a collaboration with Nile Rodgers for his forthcoming album.

Sam told ElectroQueer: “[Working with Rodgers] kind of came about because of Twitter … I love that you can talk to anybody and anybody can talk to me”.

Recounting the tale, Sam said: “We were in the studio and we were making what started out at this Nine Inch Nails, dark, swampy thing and we were like “This could be really funky”. I said, “You know what we should do is get Nile Rodgers on it” and I just tweeted him and there it was. It’s happened.”

‘Shady’ can be heard on ‘Return To Paradise’ when it’s released this spring.
