Rihanna's moved up to second on the list of most weeks spent at Number One in America

  • April 12, 2016
  • Brad O'Mance

Rihanna

Rihanna, the singer, has now spent a total of 59 weeks at the top of the US singles chart, equalling early UK boyband, The Beatles.

Current single 'Work' is 'sitting pretty' at the top of the Billboard 100 for an eighth week, equaling The Beatles for the second-most weeks spent at Number One.

The record is held by 'Up Out My Face' hitmaker Mariah Carey with 79 (!), so there's still a long way to go to be honest.

Mind you 'Kiss It Better' will be Number One in all known territories for eighty years, once it gets going, so Rihanna has this one in the bag for several generations.
