Pink thought about quitting music because she felt like she'd done everything already

  • August 21, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

P'!'nk thought about quitting music at one point because she felt like she'd collected all the "gold coins" she could.

Chatting away to Billboard about her return to being a popstar after the birth of her daughter, the 'Conversations with My 13 Year Old Self' mused:

"I felt like I was in this videogame and I collected all the gold coins and talismans you could collect — I had to either move to the next level or quit."

Obviously she decided to "move to the next level", which basically meant not taking part in the whole club-LOLs 'genre'.

"There's this whole techno takeover going on right now that just does my head in, and I knew I didn't want to do that," she explained. "I'd rather dance around and sing goofy songs."

(To be fair, that's sort of what the "techno takeover" is, but still.)

Pink's 'The Truth About Love' is out on September 18.
