One of The xx would love to write a song for Beyoncé

  • August 27, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Oliver Sim from Rihanna collaborators The xx would quite like to write a song for Beyoncé.

Chatting away in the latest issue of Q magazine, the man who helped make Shakira's 'Islands' so good gushed:

"Beyoncé is very special. I think she's important. I think the super-pop thing that supposedly died with Michael Jackson is still there, with her. I saw her at Glastonbury and I may have shed a tear. Writing a song for her that's the dream. The full Sasha Fierce."

Sim also 'revealed' that he'd been to dinner with the 'Si Yo Fuera un Chico' chanteuse, but didn't let on as to what she had for starter.

"We all went for dinner," he described. "There may have been a husband of hers there. I always had a lot of things I wanted to say to her and I completely choked."

In other riveting The xx news, Jamie Smith has apparently produced a song on the new Alicia Keys album, which is good news if you like that sort of thing.
