Olly Murs doesn't have high hopes for his One Direction support slot

  • May 1, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Olly Murs has been playing down his forthcoming support slot on One Direction's US tour.

"I'm going over there to showcase me as an artist and try to build a fanbase. Regardless of what happens, I don't have any high expectations," the Life On Murs star confessed, as quoted by the Press Association.

We're sure his label will be over the moon to hear that.

Mind you, he's certain that if the brown brogues were on the other foot One Direction would jump at the chance to spend months on end with the 'Heart On My Sleeve' hitmaker: "The guys have done so so well, and I'm sure if I went over there before them and had a number one album, if there was an opportunity for them to come on tour with me, they would."

Fascinating.
