Nicki Minaj pulled out of a radio festival after someone dared 'diss' 'Starships'

  • June 4, 2012

Nicki Minaj pulled out of Hot 97's Summer Jam 2012 in New Jersey after a DJ 'dissed' 'Starships', reports Billboard.

The 'Sticks In My Bun' chanteuse was due to perform third on the bill at the radio roadshow but was told not to perform by label manager Lil Wayne after DJ Peter Rosenberg called 'Starships' "wack" while introducing a different act to the stage.

"Young Money ain't doing summer jam," Lil Wayne said on Twitter following the insult, to which Nicki Minaj responded: "Wow. U niggaz just fucked up history. But the President has spoken."

Proving that she's an independent woman who makes decisions for herself, she then added: "I go above and beyond for my fans. But won't ever go against wayne's word. What he says, goes."
