Nathan from The Wanted is having vocal surgery

nathan-the-wantedThe Daily Mail reports that Nathan off The Wanted will be under­go­ing surgery today to repair a hem­or­rhaging vocal cord, the same condition Adele dealt with.

A statement notes that Syko will "under go spe­cial­ist throat surgery on Thursday April 18 in Los Angeles and as such will be taking an unfore­seen hiatus form The Wanted".

"The priority for Nathan, his label and man­age­ment is that he is given time to recover and receive the best treatment possible."

Nathan won't be able to speak for at least a month, which is terrible timing con­sid­er­ing they're trying to record their new album but we're sure that's not exactly Nathan's top priority right now.
