Miley Cyrus says Pharrell wanted to work with her after seeing that video of her doing drugs

  • August 8, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Miley Cyrus has claimed that the notoriously picky Pharrell was 'inspired' to work with her after he saw that video of her smoking drugs.

Talking to Marie Claire (as quoted here), the 'Ready, Set, Don't Go' hitmaker explained: "It was magic. Pharrell said, 'Don't be offended because this is how I talk, but [I thought], That bitch is actually living'."

Not only did he think she was living, but he also wanted to "free that bitch" and get her "out of her cage".

(Wasn't that what she was trying to do in the video?)

From the sound of it the subsequent recording sessions went quite well. "I'd never worked like that before. I was talking to him like he was an older brother, and everything I said was going onto the track…I got in there with Pharrell, and it was magic. Oh, dude, I'm so happy."

Oh dude.
