Madonna's been threatened with legal action by Marine Le Pen

  • June 6, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Madonna may well be sued by France's far right leader Marine Le Pen if she continues to use an image of the Front National president  with a swastika during her MDNA tour.

Le Pen appears in a montage sequence during Nobody Knows Me, the camera zooming in on her eyes and forehead before a swastika is superimposed on her face, which then morphs into that of Adolf Hitler.

Subtle stuff, we're sure you will agree.

As reported by The Guardian, a party official confirmed that the Front National's lawyers were looking to take legal action. Le Pen warned: "If she does that in France, we'll be waiting for her."

"It's understandable when ageing singers who need publicity go to such extremes. Her songs don't work any more," she continued.

Madonna is due to play Paris on July 14 and Nice on August 21.
