Little Mix's 'Move' won last night's 2014 Twenty Quid Music Prize

In a demo­cratic shouting match held in a London hostelry last night, Little Mix's 'Move' was voted the best British pop single of the last twelve months.

Hurrah.

Beating off Charli XCX's 'Boom Clap' into second place, 'Move' — which was released way back in November 2013 — was praised for its unique structure, the weird mooing bit at the beginning and some other things we can't really remember because we were quite drunk and still are.

The point is that a great pop single has been recog­nised as such.

Twenty pounds (cash) will be on its way to Little Mix in due course.
