Leona Lewis thinks TV talent show contestants are more talented than some other popstars

  • January 6, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Global Songstress Leona Lewis believes that most TV talent show contestants are "more talented" than their non-talent show contestant rivals.

Speaking to Time Out Dubai and reported on Contactmusic, the 'I Got You' hitmaker justified her claim by putting these words in this order. "Because my first single, 'Bleeding Love', did so well — it went Number One in, like, 30 different countries — I've proved myself not to be a sell-out. And people see me on the show, where people are singing live; there's no miming like you see so many artists now doing on TV shows. You're out there in front of so many people and there's so much pressure."

Obviously forgetting 2010's 'Auto-tune gate', she went on to say: "There's no Auto-Tune, no nothing. It's all raw, genuine, so a lot of the people are actually very, very talented."

Lewis also said she felt herself to be very lucky that Simon Cowell still likes her. "We've always got along," she said. "He's always been a real supporter of me and my music".
