Leona Lewis has promised that her next album will feature a controlled amount of fun

  • January 3, 2014
  • Brad O'Mance

LeonaGlobal Superstar Leona Lewis has promised that her next album will feature "some fun".

"When I was performing 'One More Sleep' on TV, I was smiling when I was singing," she mused to — HAPPY NEW YEAR — the Daily Star Playlist.

"I never smile when I sing, as I'm drawn to melancholy, heart-wrenching melodies. It’s been nice to get out of that headspace and have fun."

Still, let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet — she's not LMFAO.

"My next album will be more Motowny. The songs won't all be 'Yay' but they'll have some fun."

In fact some of these songs featuring a very specific amount of controlled fun have already been written.

"We wrote some non-festive songs with that energy, which we've set aside for my next record."

Exciting times.
