Ladyhawke has been given some money to make a new album

Ladyhawke has been given a taxpayer grant to use in the promotion of her upcoming album.

The New Zealand singer has been given $59,000 by The Music Commission as part of their Outward Sound scheme in order to promote her album while touring overseas.

Though Ladyhawke, real name Pip Brown, exper­i­enced success in the UK and her native Australasia with her debut, the album failed to make a dent in the US market, something which this grant hopes to change with her follow up.
