Lady Gaga is selling quite a few albums in America

  • May 27, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' looks set to sell over 1m copies in its first week on sale in America.

According to Billboard, the album, which was on sale for just 99 cents on Monday via Amazon, sold 500,000 copies on its first day alone. 330,000 of those were from Amazon, with 104,000 sold on iTunes.

Initial sales projections were 400,000, with some 'experts' saying her over-exprosure could damage sales.

In the UK, the album has been outselling the entire Top 30 put together.
