The news of her ailment was communicated via the medium of Twitter in the following manner:
Haven't had laryngitis since 2006. Wow. Sucks to feel helpless. I'll be back like the Terminator Australia!! PROMISE :)

In other vocal cord news, Sam Smith will undergo surgery to fix some sort of issue next week, which means he'll be unable to sing properly for 6 — 8 weeks. See you down the karaoke tonight, Sam — you bring the booze, we'll bring the fags.
