JLS and Olly Murs have been putting the hours in

  • December 21, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

JLS and Olly Murs are officially the hardest working popstars of 2011, reports Record of the Day.

Crowned 'winners' by PRS for Music — a music royalties company — both JLS and Murs have performed at major venues the most this year, with 29 performances 'apiece'.

Talking about the announcement, Murs said or at least approved for use in a press release: "It's a real honour to be receiving this award from PRS For Music. The last two years have been incredible for me — I've achieved so much and it's great to be recognised for all the work I've put in." JLS or whoever is in charge of making up generic JLS quotes added: "This is a great achievement and really goes to show how hard we have been working this year. It's an honour to be awarded this by PRS for Music and we are looking forward to what 2012 will bring!"

Last year's winner was Peter Andre.
