Jake Shears is a big fan of mushrooms of the happy variety

  • May 15, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Jake Shears has spoken to SPIN about a variety of things, including his love for magic mushrooms.

Says Jake: "I love a mushroom. Those are always a good time. And on the harmful scale from one to ten, they're a zero. You just can't go wrong. I like the way that they make me laugh and you can sit down and stare at trees for a long while and it's super entertaining."

The interview also features some other vaguely 'interesting' bits of information, including the fact that Jake's favourite songs are Roxy Music's 'More Than This' ("one of the best songs ever written") and Bette Midler's 'The Rose' (!) and that his favourite saying is "wherever you go, there you are." This is because "I travel so much and am always living out of a suitcase…  I love it because it's reassuring to me that you have to live in the moment wherever you happen to be".

So there you go.
