Emeli Sandé has been defending Cher Lloyd

  • February 8, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance
Don't panic everyone: according to Emeli Sandé, Cher Lloyd "has a real hunger" and is "a really lovely girl".
Speaking to The Quietus, Credible Alternative Singer Sandé criticised the media coverage of Lloyd as "unfair" before going on to talk about her admiration of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, the metaphorific content of mountains and Susan Boyle.
On Boyle the 'Daddy' hitmaker claimed that "she has a lot more soul than a lot of people who call themselves soul singers".
Sandé was speaking ahead of the release of her debut album, 'Our Version Of Events', which comes out on February 13.
