DJ Fresh is setting up a production 'collective' with The Invisible Men

  • June 5, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

DJ Fresh is starting a new production 'collective' called the Committee so that he can work with all the people he wants without "saturating my name".

The 'Funk Academy' hitmaker will 'join forces' with above average production trio The Invisible Men, aka ex-Orson members Jason Pebworth and George Astasio, as well as Jon Shave who used to be part of Xenomania.

"It’s like a super-group of producers," Fresh told the Daily Star Playlist. "I’ve been getting asked to do a lot of other stuff. People keep coming into my dressing room at gigs, such as Alexandra Burke who was really keen to do stuff."

We bet she was.

"Because I’ve always wanted to focus on my own music it seemed a good idea to set up a new outfit that can produce different material without saturating my name or being in people’s faces all the time," he continued.

This sounds a bit like he wants the cash from a load of pop shit without being accused of selling out but whatever it's all about it sounds very exciting indeed, so well done Fresh.
