Depeche Mode have started work on their new album, according to Martin Gore.
In an interview with The Quietus, the sometime singer and full-time songwriter said that work with his side-project VCMG had given him "much more vigour" and that he now had "a real creative impetus" regarding new Depeche Mode material.
"It was a nice break for me to be able to go and do something completely different that doesn't involve poring over lyrics and having to think about vocal melodies," he continued.
Yes that does sound nice.
