'Teardop' hitmaker Tulisa Contostavlos has announced plans to branch out into the literary world.

The self-styled 'Female Boss' will write a series of books to be published by Headline Books.

The London-based publishing house announced the news via Twitter like so: "BREAKING NEWS we are delighted to announce that we’ve signed @officialtulisa for her autobiography and two novels. Excited! #tulisabooks".

Tulisa is set to release her debut solo album later this year, with her memoirs following in 2013.
