Cher Lloyd will start her 'assault' on the US in April with appearances at SXSW and by releasing 'Want U Back' as her first single, report sacbee.com.
"The X Factor UK's most controversial pop star" will kick off a spate of live shows with an appearance at Perez Hilton's annual SXSW showcase in Austin, Texas.
Never one to polarise opinion, Lloyd has been referred to as "truly special" and an "extraordinary talent" by LA Reid, under whose wing she will attempt to break the states.
"I am so excited about coming over to the states and working with LA Reid," Lloyd said. "Now I just cannot wait to get on the stage and for everyone to hear my music."
