Beyonce's dad isn't her manager anymore

  • March 29, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Former Destiny's Child warbler Beyoncé has parted ways with her own dad, Matthew.

Matthew Knowles has managed his daughter's career since the 90s but in a statement released yesterday it was confirmed the two have parted ways, but only professionally, obviously.

"I've only parted ways with my father on a business level," Beyoncé said. "He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me."

In response, Matthew put out the following statement: "Business is business and family is family. I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved. I look forward to her continued great success."

Hurrah.
