Beyoncé has given her record label 72 finished tracks to choose from for her new album

  • May 16, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Beyoncé's record label Columbia are said to be overwhelmed after reportedly having to choose between 72 tracks she sent them for new album '4'.

Although the album does not have an official release date yet, it is likely to come out in the summer at some point.

The 'Ring The Alarm' hitmaker has revealed that many of the tracks will have an afrobeat feel, drawing inspiration from Nigerian musician Fela Kuti.

Although her latest single 'Run the World (Girls)' has been available for over a month, the video for the track has been postponed, with no official date for its release announced.
