Azealia Banks has cancelled all her summer festival shows

  • April 27, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Azealia Banks has cancelled all her UK summer festival appearances so she can get on with finishing her album.

The 'NEEDSUMLUV (SXLND)' hitmaker was due to perform at (deep breath) Bestival, Rock Ness, Rough Beats, Parklife, Lovebox, BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend,Wakestock and the Reading and Leeds festivals, but will be holed up in a studio somewhere instead.

"A decision has been made by her new management that she needs to get back into the studio and invest more time on her forthcoming debut album 'Broke With Expensive Taste'," read an official statement, reported here.

Well this is all going well isn't it.

UPDATE: According to her management (as reported by NME), Azealia will still be performing at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend and Reading and Leeds, "but has unfortunately had to cancel her remaining UK festival appearances due to recording commitments. Her October UK headline tour will still go ahead as scheduled".
