A*M*E is a fan of the 90s

  • January 26, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Promising new 'artiste' A*M*E has been talking about her love of the 1990s.

In an interview with MTV UK she claims that "not a lot of today's pop artists reach out to the 90s and make it fun, fresh and modern, but that's what I'm trying to do."

She goes on to list her 90s influences as "everyone from Tina Turner and Blondie to Madonna". Those are acts who came to prominence in the 60s, 70s and 80s respectively but never mind.

She also apparently "really loved bands like Take That and Westlife, all of those are in my little collection".

When asked about her plans for this year A*M*E explained: "I'm on a schools tour at the moment and after that's done, I'm looking forward to getting more music out there and playing some more shows." She also promised "exciting times ahead!"

We'll be the judge of that A*M*E.
